Finding the Controller Key
To begin, players must locate the controller key. After starting the "Fix This" mission within the CEG HQ, head to the central flare stack tower. First, pick up the "clamp release" file from a table near the elevator. Then, ascend to the second floor via the elevator. The controller key can be found in a small box situated next to valve two.
Disabling the Alarm and Releasing Clamps
Return to the ground floor and use the controller key on valve one. To turn off the alarm, players need to decipher a code from the "clamp release" file. The alarm screen displays "77289," which corresponds to the code "A5D7." Input this code into the machine and select "OK."
Next, interact with the flare stack's command console, located on the right side of the wheel at valve one. Use the code found at the top of the "clamp release" file, which is "E3E3," to proceed. This action will enable the operation of the handwheels.
Aligning the Flare Stack Valves
With the clamps released, the next objective is to align the red pipe circling the flare stack tower across all four floor levels. This alignment must connect the pipe from top to bottom.
On the first floor (ground level), turn valve one two times to the right. This should position an S-shaped section of the red pipe. On the second floor, turn valve two once to the left, ensuring no red pipe is directly in front of the player.
Proceed to the third floor and turn valve three two times to the right. This adjustment should create a horizontal pipe section in the middle and another in the top left. For valve four, rotate it twice more to the right to form an L-shaped pipe section on the flare stack tower.
Completing the Mission
Once the valves are correctly aligned, return to the ground floor and interact with the flare stack console command once more. Press the "gas flow," "flow test," and "ignite" buttons to finalize the flare stack puzzle. Following the subsequent explosion, a new path will open in the far left corner. Crawling through these pipes will complete the "Fix This" mission and allow players to exit the area.
