Modern Warfare 4 DMZ: Which Chapter to Choose First

Upon completing the initial tutorial and the first set of orders in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4's DMZ mode, players are presented with a choice between three distinct chapters: "Human Intel," "Counterfeit," and "Underground." While the game assures players that unchosen chapters will become available later, the initial selection can offer immediate benefits. Each chapter provides a set of six missions spread across two pages, with distinct rewards upon completion.

DMZ Chapter Rewards

The "Human Intel" chapter offers 40,000 cash, one basic triage kit, one flash grenade recipe, three UAV fire supports, one operator rescue beacon, and one weapon insurance contract. The "Counterfeit" chapter provides 40,000 cash, one recon drone recipe, one explosives equipment kit, one operator rescue beacon, and one weapon insurance contract. Lastly, the "Underground" chapter grants 40,000 cash, one DDOS recipe, one decoy grenade recipe, one night vision goggles recipe, one basic restock kit, one operator rescue beacon, and one weapon insurance contract.

Strategic Chapter Selection

The optimal choice depends on player priorities. For those aiming to craft items more efficiently using the 3D printer, the "Underground" chapter is recommended due to its inclusion of three distinct recipes. Conversely, players anticipating frequent combat may find "Human Intel" more beneficial, primarily for the three provided UAV fire supports. The missions within each chapter are designed as introductory challenges, with "Human Intel" involving lieutenant towers, compounds, and dynamic op phones; "Counterfeit" focusing on a police station, UAV towers, and recon drones; and "Underground" requiring players to place transmitters on radio towers, commandeer a SAM site, and utilize a DDOS field upgrade. Each chapter culminates in one of the initial story missions: "Critical Extraction," "Silent Ledger," or "Shopping Hacks," which might also influence a player's decision based on narrative preference.
