Players seeking to open the safe in the 'Escape' mission of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 may find themselves confused by the safe code's placement within the campaign. The code can be discovered well before the safe itself is encountered, leading some players to believe they have missed it. Finding the Safe Code
During the 'Escape' mission, players assume the role of Captain Price as he infiltrates a North Korean prison. Stealth is paramount, requiring players to navigate corridors while evading guards. In the initial room, a note on a desk, titled "confiscation protocol reminder," directs players to the security office for the safe code. Later, in a larger room, a soldier behind a counter will be alerted to Price's escape. He will exit through double doors at the far end of the room. Once the soldier has departed, enter the room he vacated and examine the note on the table labeled "updated code." This note reveals the safe code for the 'Escape' mission is 8410.
Locating the Safe
To find the safe, continue progressing through the mission until Ghost is rescued. Following this, combat will resume. After fighting through enemy soldiers, players will reach the dormitory, a room containing numerous beds and a long table. After clearing the dormitory of enemies, proceed through the exit door. The safe is located behind a closed door on the right-hand side. Entering this room and using the keypad with the code 8410 will allow players to retrieve Gaz's dogtags.
