To effectively progress in Moonlight Peaks, players will find it beneficial to master the crafting of several key ingredients: Cocoa Powder, Coffee Powder, and Rice. These items serve dual purposes, either boosting player energy levels through consumption or acting as valuable gifts to win the affection of in-game romantic candidates.
Crafting Cocoa Powder
Producing Cocoa Powder requires two pieces of Dried Cocoa, which are then processed in a Mill. The journey to this point involves acquiring a Mill, cultivating Cocoa Bean Trees, and drying the harvested beans.
To obtain a Mill, players can purchase one from Ridge at Howling Hammer for 8,000 Coins. Following the purchase, the Mill must be placed on the farm and will take two nights to complete construction.
Cocoa Bean Tree seeds are available from Luna's seed stall in Moonlit Pines for 4,500 Coins. These trees mature in 25 days and can be harvested repeatedly every 8 days.
Once the Cocoa Beans are harvested, they must be dried using a Herb Drying Rack. The crafting recipe for the Herb Drying Rack is obtained during the main story quest 'The Need for Herbs' with Luna. Place the harvested beans onto the rack and wait for them to dry.
Finally, two Dried Cocoa pieces are placed into the Mill to yield Cocoa Powder.
Crafting Coffee Powder
Similar to Cocoa Powder, Coffee Powder is made by processing two pieces of Dried Coffee in a Mill. This process also begins with acquiring a Mill, growing Coffee Bean Trees, and then drying the beans.
The Mill is purchased from Ridge at Howling Hammer for 8,000 Coins and requires two nights to build after placement on the farm.
Coffee Bean Tree seeds can be bought from Luna’s seed stall in Moonlit Pines for 4,500 Coins. These trees mature in 25 days and regrow their crops seven days after harvest, growing in all seasons.
After harvesting the Coffee Beans, they are dried on a Herb Drying Rack, the recipe for which is acquired through Luna's 'The Need for Herbs' quest. Place the beans on the rack and wait for them to dry.
The final step involves placing two Dried Coffee Beans into the Mill to produce Coffee Powder.
Producing Rice
Rice is created by processing three pieces of Unmilled Rice in a Mill. The primary hurdle is accumulating the necessary Coins to purchase the Mill.
The Mill can be acquired from Ridge at Howling Hammer for 8,000 Coins. Its construction takes two nights after being placed on the farm.
Unmilled Rice is cultivated from Rice seeds, which cost 30 Coins each at Luna's seed stall in Moonlit Pines. These seeds take five nights to grow, yield a single harvest, and can only be planted during Spring, Summer, and Autumn.
Once the Unmilled Rice is harvested, three units are placed into the Mill to be processed into Rice.
