Coralum Ore is a crucial resource in Palworld, necessary for crafting advanced items for both your base and your Pals. Players can obtain this material by defeating specific Pals, salvaging debris from the ocean, or by establishing a dedicated breeding operation.
Defeating and Breeding Pals
Three Pals can drop Coralum Ore upon defeat: Whalaska, Whalaska Ignis, and Neptilius. While Neptilius is rarer, focusing on the Whalaska variants offers a more accessible combat approach. However, the most reliable method for a consistent supply involves breeding Whalaska Pals at your base. Once a sufficient breeding pair is established, players can generate a steady stream of Whalaskas to harvest.
To automate the process, players can construct a Pal Disassembly Conveyor, an item unlocked in the Technology Tree at tier 56. This structure breaks down Pals, yielding Coralum Ore and other valuable materials.
Salvaging Ocean Debris
An alternative method for acquiring Coralum Ore involves searching for Salvage Scrap in the oceans surrounding the Palworld map. This requires a Water Mount and a Fishing Rod. Players will need to locate floating piles of debris and interact with them to search for materials. Some locations may necessitate the use of a Fishing Magnet consumable.
Upon interacting with the scrap, a minigame will appear, requiring players to time a command to align a marker within a green zone. Success is not mandatory on each attempt, as failure does not consume any items and allows for repeated tries.
Crafting with Coralum Ore
Once obtained, Coralum Ore can be used in several crafting recipes. It is a key component in creating the Beginner Fishing Rod and the Intermediate Fishing Rod, which are essential for various activities within the game, including the salvage scrap method mentioned earlier. The ore is also required for crafting an Ingot, another fundamental crafting material.
