To complete the "Apprentice Healer" quest in Phantom Blade Zero, players must gather three specific medicinal herbs for the character Yu'er. The quest becomes available after defeating Peng Meng, The Axemaster, and speaking with Yu'er at the Outpost in the Weeping Creek Valley. She provides a recipe and tasks the player with finding the necessary ingredients.
Starting the Apprentice Healer Quest
Yu'er can be found near the blacksmith and the Outpost Bell after the player has defeated Peng Meng. Upon speaking with her, she will assign the "Apprentice Healer" quest, which requires collecting three medicinal herbs to treat wounded individuals.
Locating the Medicinal Herbs
Finding the herbs involves navigating specific areas within the Weeping Creek Valley. It is important to note that access to the locations for the second and third herbs is gated by progressing through the main story and defeating the main boss of the Weeping Creek Valley, The Hunt. To access this area, players must obtain the Sha-Chi Tower Base Camp Gate Key using the Hunter's Chain Sickle, then unlock the gate at the Creek Valley Plains Entrance bell.
Blood-Stopper Vine
The first herb, the Blood-Stopper Vine, is located on the path east of The Axemaster's Holding Cell. Players should walk across the bridge towards the Creek Valley Plains Entrance and then drop down into the gorge on the left. After defeating any enemies present, the Blood-Stopper Vine can be collected from an item with an orange glow.
Congealeaf
To find the Congealeaf, players should start at the Long Pillar Overlook bell and proceed east along the main road. After passing a watchtower, players should use their wall run ability to stay on the higher path instead of descending into the lower valley. The Congealeaf is situated near a large rock formation, directly opposite the cave entrance that requires the Rusted Loong Key.
Blemish Goldweed
The final herb, Blemish Goldweed, can be found by teleporting to Weeping Creek Long Pillar. From the massive dragon statue, follow the path northwest. The Blemish Goldweed is located on the right side of this path.
Upon collecting all three medicinal herbs and returning them to Yu'er, players will complete the "Apprentice Healer" quest and receive the Medicine Case accessory as a reward.
