To fully reveal the Weeping Creek Valley map in Phantom Blade Zero, players need to uncover three hidden regions. Progressing through the main story is key, as some areas are tied to defeating bosses and acquiring new abilities.
Unfogging the Northern Weeping Creek Valley
To access the first optional area in the north, players should travel to the Valley Sha-Chi Tower, 1st Floor waypoint. Inside the building, look for a hole in the floor with a faint red glow and drop down. In the lower valley area, proceed towards the glade with red flowers and defeat the mini-boss, Hua, The Betrothed. Defeating this enemy will unlock a bell, revealing the surrounding map.
Unlocking the Creek Valley Plains
Revealing the Creek Valley Plains requires players to first defeat the main boss of Weeping Creek Valley, The Hunt, and acquire the Hunter's Chain Sickle. After obtaining this weapon, go to the Valley Sha-Chi Tower Summit waypoint. Traverse the rooftop until you spot a ledge with an orange-glowing item. Use the Hunter's Chain Sickle to reach the ledge and obtain the Sha-Chi Tower Base Camp Gate Key. Return to the Creek Valley Plains Entrance waypoint and use the key to unlock the gate. Within this area, four specific bells must be activated to fully unfog the map: Long Pillar Overlook, Weeping Creek Long Pillar, Crimson Manor, and Valley Sha-Shi Tower Base. The Long Pillar Overlook bell is found inside a house on the east side of the main road. The Weeping Creek Long Pillar bell is accessible through caves northeast of the Long Pillar Overlook, requiring the Rusted Loong Key found in a chest at the Overlook. For Crimson Manor, players must lure a Powderkeg enemy to destroy a brittle wall, revealing an elevator. The Valley Sha-Shi Tower Base bell is found by proceeding past the Powderkeg area and going upstairs.
Revealing the Southwest Weeping Creek Valley
The southwest portion of the Weeping Creek Valley map becomes accessible only after completing the main story in the subsequent region, the Crimson Forest. This involves defeating Bai Chilian, The Sacrificial Serpent, and reaching the Village of Lu. Once this is accomplished, return to the Outpost in Weeping Creek Valley. The former villagers will have transformed into hostile monsters. Defeat them to gain access to the previously shrouded area. To find the bell that unfogs this final section, cross the bridge, and upon reaching the small settlement, climb the cliff to the left.
