Silent Hill: Townfall 5 South Brae Floppy Disk Puzzle Guide

In Part 4 of Silent Hill: Townfall, players will need to collect Locker barcodes scattered across the Clara Woods Estate. The first of these is located in 5 South Brae, requiring a solution to a floppy disk puzzle. This guide details how to resolve the corrupted floppy disk issue and obtain the necessary code.

Upon entering 5 South Brae, players will find an office containing a locked file box and a Floppy Disk Case. The Disk Case Key, needed to open this case, is located in the master bedroom. Using the Disk Case Key on the Floppy Disk Case yields the Grouped Floppy Disks item, which contains three disks. When inserted into the disk reader beside the office computer, the second disk is found to be corrupted.

To repair the corrupted disk, players must visit Atlas Computers. There, use the Disk Case Key on the Floppy Disk Case found in the back office to acquire the Fix-A-Disk item. Return to the office in 5 South Brae with this item.

Interact with the PC again and follow these steps to repair the disk and retrieve the code:

1. Insert Disk 1 and confirm.
2. Insert Disk 2.
3. When an error message appears, use Fix-A-Disk and select begin.
4. Re-insert Disk 2 and select repair volume.
5. Re-insert Disk 1 and confirm.
6. Insert Disk 2 again and confirm.
7. Insert Disk 3 and confirm.
8. Turn on the printer.
9. Open the Manual.eml file on the PC and initiate the print command.

The printer will produce the Reciprocating Compressor diagram, with the Part ID of 956 highlighted. This number serves as the code for the locked file box in the office. Inside the file box, players will find the Locker 17 barcode.

After obtaining the barcode, return to CEG Lockers and scan it to proceed. The next objectives involve puzzles at 5 Upper Brae and 6 North Brae.
