The CCTV command console puzzle in Part 6 of Silent Hill Townfall requires players to interact with a command console and complete a series of manual tasks within the SWDP Different area. This guide provides a solution to navigate this multi-stage challenge.
Upon entering the CCTV room, a voice on the intercom will ask Simon to recount the events of "that night." The room contains several key items: a Remote Systems Control Note highlighting "Aux Line B - 246" and instructing "Command - Equipment - ID" order for the console; a Lockbox with supplies; a med kit; a save phone; a locked Remote Control Panel; and the CCTV system with its adjacent command console. Powering up the CCTV machine reveals multiple camera feeds showing various mechanisms like valves and a backup generator.
The command console itself features a fax-like machine displaying messages and a keyboard with engineering/physics symbols. The objective is to decipher these messages and perform the corresponding actions, some of which require physical interaction outside the room.
Message 1: Open Valve B
The first message states: "8:02PM - Almost immediately, it became clear that the DS0 had failed to recognise an error on the Reciprocal Compressor Unit on Valve B. The operator then used the console to OPEN VALVE B." To solve this, use CCTV Cam ID 5 to view Valves A through C. Note the number on Valve B, which is 254. On the command console, input 'open', then 'valve', followed by '254', and press 'Enter'.
Message 2: Start Filter - A
After opening Valve B, the console displays: "8:04PM - Noticing a build up in particulates in the auxiliary lines, the NSO proceeded to START FILTER - A - in an attempt to reduce build-up." Use CCTV Cam ID 0 to see the Filter Unit and note its ID: 103. Input 'start', then 'filter', followed by '103', and press 'Enter' on the console.
Message 3: Manually Open Auxiliary Lines and Flush Aux Line B
The next message reads: "8:07PM - The filter failed to clear particulates flooding due to the RCU. The NSO used a locker code provided by management [0825], using the key found there to proceed upstairs and MANUALLY OPEN the AUXILIARY LINES. On returning, the operator attempted to FLUSH AUX LINE B." First, use the locker code 0825 to retrieve the AUX Key and additional shotgun rounds. Players must then go to the AUX Room (detailed in a separate guide) to manually open the auxiliary lines. Upon returning to the CCTV room, use the console to 'flush Aux Line B'. The Remote Systems Control Note provides the ID for Aux Line B as 246. Input 'flush', then 'aux', followed by '246', and press 'Enter'.
Message 4: Stop the Regulator
Another message appears: "8:15 PM - While the Auxiliary Line alleviated pressure, the result of this action caused the system regulator to overheat. The NSO proceeded to STOP the REGULATOR." Access CCTV Cam ID 2 to view the Regulator Systems. The ID for the Regulator is 781. On the command console, input 'stop', then 'regulator', followed by '781', and press 'Enter'.
Message 5: Unlock Door to Valve F
The console then shows: "8:16PM - With the continued failure of the RCU causing extensive damage throughout the system, and remote control impossible, the NSO was forced to UNLOCK the DOOR leading to VALVE F." Using CCTV Cam ID 4, which shows Valves D to F, find the ID above the door, which is 592. On the command console, input 'unlock', then 'door', followed by '592', and press 'Enter'.
Message 6: Manually Open Valve F
The subsequent message reads: "8:16PM The NSO once again left their station, travelling to Valve D-F Room to MANUALLY OPEN VALVE F." Exit the CCTV room and navigate downstairs to the area containing the Backup Generator. The newly unlocked door in the bottom left corner leads to the Valve D to F Room. Interact with Valve F within this room. Afterward, return to the CCTV room.
Message 7: Use Clamp Release Module
Back in the CCTV room, the final message states: "January 18th, 1996, 8:19PM - Manually opening Valve F caused a chain reaction, leading to the RCU failing, and the beginning of an explosive chain reaction. With the facility immediately engulfed in flames, using the CLAMP RELEASE MODULE opposite the control panel to allow crew to evacuate was the only remaining option. The NSO proceeded to attempt to do so." Obtain the Clamp Release Procedure document from the printer. Interact with the clamp controls panel opposite the command console and follow the document's instructions. This involves adjusting pressure, switching notifiers, setting panel model specifics (920CEG for Tension/Balance to INT/INT), disengaging Run Off, setting Intubate Flow to NONE, inputting the clamp ID D71, toggling report switches to match the document (first, third, and final ON for D), and configuring battery power (Battery 1 to B, Battery 2 to C). Once all settings are correct, the release indicator will flash, and pressing it will lower a container, completing the puzzle.
