Clara Woods Puzzle Walkthrough
The primary objective in Clara Woods is to craft a mystery item needed to open the gate on Atlas Way. Begin by heading north along Prosperity Way, crossing the CEG Staff Parking to the west, and continuing to the CEG Employee Lockers. Here, you will find the main puzzle.
At the lockers, interact with the computer and read both emails. The goal is to unlock every locker listed by finding its card ID, which is a slip of paper with a barcode. Scan the barcode at the locker station to obtain the corresponding locker code. The card ID for locker 75 is found on the counter next to the scanner, revealing the code 184. Opening locker 75 yields a flare gun and cartridges.
The remaining card IDs are located within employee residences, which are marked on the map after reading the emails. To access 5 South Brae, you first need to open the "lost and found" locker using code 772, as indicated in one of the emails. This locker is situated near a telephone and contains the key to 5 South Brae.
Solving the 5 South Brae Floppy Disk Puzzle
With the key to 5 South Brae, proceed to the residence located upstairs and to the right after crossing Atlas Square. Inside, collect the disk case key from a nightstand. In the room with the computer, use this key to retrieve three floppy disks. One of these disks is corrupted.
Travel to the Atlas Computer Store on Atlas Way. In the storage room, use the disk case key again to acquire the Fix-A-Disk software. Return to 5 South Brae with the software.
At the 5 South Brae computer, insert the floppy disks in the following sequence: run Fix-A-Disk first, then repair the second disk, insert the first disk, then the second disk again. Finally, turn on the printer, insert the third disk, and press print. The printed output reveals the code 956. Entering this code into the black box next to the computer yields the card ID for locker 17.
Return to the CEG Employee Lockers, scan the barcode for locker 17, and use the pincode 575. This unlocks a mechanical part and boltcutters.
Solving the 6 North Brae Lamenting Poem Puzzle
Head to the upper level of Clara Woods and use the boltcutters to access the Shopping Precinct, which leads to 6 North Brae. Inside one of the upstairs bedrooms, a locked black box can be found next to a chair with a "lamenting poem." The poem's paragraphs reference boats, arches, and children. Players must count the occurrences of these items depicted in paintings and photographs throughout the 6 North Brae residence in that order to form the code.
There are seven boats in the landscape painting in the same room as the black box. A drawing in the bedroom shows three arches. The living room contains pictures featuring six children. Combining these numbers results in the pincode 736 for the black box. Opening it grants the card ID for employee locker 204.
Solving the 5 Upper Brae Tape Puzzle
Navigate to 5 Upper Brae, found by heading east and taking the Overpass. Inside, locate a small box in an upstairs bedroom containing the "Yesterday Tape." Use this tape in the upstairs tape player, swapping it with the "Today Tape."
Afterward, collect the "Tomorrow Tape" from the downstairs coffee table and a note on the kitchen table stating "Today my number was 192." Listen to the "Tomorrow Tape" in the player. Collect another note from the living room reading "Today my number was 125." Find the "Do Not Play Tape" in the kitchen and play it. A "back door key" is available on the kitchen counter. Use the "Today Tape" to return to the present time, then use the back door key to access the yard and retrieve the "Ammonite Disk" from the shed.
Playing the "Yesterday Tape" again allows the player to run the Ammonite Disk on the computer. A sequence of three-digit codes will appear. Knowing that "192" was yesterday's code and "125" is tomorrow's code, the current day's code is 129. Play the "Today Tape" once more and use the code 129 on the box to obtain the card ID for locker 94.
Opening the Atlas Way Gate
Return to the CEG Employee Lockers. Scan the barcode for locker 204 and use pincode 971. Then, scan the barcode for locker 94 and use pincode 490. These actions yield the final two mechanical parts required to open the Atlas Way gate.
Combine the three mechanical parts in your inventory to create the Constructed Mechanical Device. Insert this device into the slot on the left side of the strange gate to exit Clara Woods, complete the "Missing Parts" mission, and proceed to the CEG Headquarters.
