The solution to the puzzle combines the date seen in the CRTV's second signal and the year found on the Haldane Hotel Menu. The menu clearly indicates the year 1996.
By inputting January 18th, 1996, into the door dial, players will unlock the door. Inside the subsequent area, players can collect the Room 204 Key and a Hotel Room Note.
