Silent Hill: Townfall Walkthrough - Parts 1, 2, and 3

This guide details the walkthrough for the first three parts of Silent Hill: Townfall, covering the "Simon" and "Zoe" sections and the "The Patient" chapter.

Silent Hill: Townfall Part 1 - Simon Walkthrough

Part 1 of Silent Hill: Townfall begins after the prologue, with protagonist Simon exploring St. Amelia and uncovering lore about its past residents. This section involves solving multiple puzzles.

Entering 2A West Shore Lane

After the prologue, tune into the CRTV for a signal directing you to a house on West Shore Lane. Enter the alleyway left of Fergusons store to find the house. Inside, you can save your game at a hallway phone. The house contains a letter in the living room, a non-functional PC, and a flashlight without batteries in the kitchen. Upstairs, find gauze, AA batteries, and a document about the Organ Transplant Box codes.

Combine the flashlight and batteries to create a working flashlight. Use this to access a power card machine and a Power Card Credit Guide. To restore power to the house, the machine requires a power card with credit, which can be obtained later.

Solving the Power Card Credit Puzzle

After a cutscene, your map will highlight the Newsagents. The front door is locked, so enter through the back via The Mariner, avoiding the enemy. Collect the Plank and Newsagents Note, then retrieve the Prepaid Power Card from the till.

Before returning to Zoe's house, visit Video Star to find Strange Postcard 1 on the front desk. Return to Zoe's house to solve the Power Card Credit puzzle. Interact with the power card machine, use the Power Card Credit Guide, and activate the Master Power Switch to restore power.

Solving the Organ Transport Box Puzzle

With power restored, turn to the Organ Transport Box. Access Zoe's emails on the PC in the lounge; an email titled 'For Attending Surgeon' reveals the unlock codes are derived from the first and last three digits of a specific ET code. Using the Organ Transplant Card in your inventory, find the second ET code: '956234692133'. The codes are 956 and 133. Input these into the locks on the Organ Transport Box to retrieve Zoe's Lanyard.

A new signal on the CRTV will point towards the Shorefront Family Clinic.

Going to the Shorefront Family Clinic

Use Zoe's Lanyard to enter the Shorefront Family Clinic, being mindful of an enemy outside. Inside, you can find gauze and notes in Dr. Stevenson's and Dr. Harford's offices. B Mcmillan's office contains IV fluid.

In Zoe's office, you'll find the weighing scales puzzle, her Resignation Letter, a Scalpel, and the Clinic Post-It Note with the Reception code: 2896.

Unlocking Reception

Go to Reception and enter the code 2896 into the keypad. Inside, you can save your game and listen to an answer machine message mentioning a suspicious prescription in the Pharmacy.

Entering the Pharmacy

Use the Scalpel to unlock the Pharmacy door. Inside, you can save your game, find a radio, and a locker requiring a four-digit code. Tuning the CRTV to the radio will reveal clues for the locker code. A First Aid Kit is also available in the storage cupboard.

Opening the Pharmacy Locker

The Pharmacy locker code is derived from posters shown on the CRTV signal. The numbers are determined by counting fingers on a hand-washing poster (6), a number on a prescription poster (5), a scale on a services poster (3), and the number of pills on an antibiotics poster (9). The code, in order, is 6539.

Inside the locker is the Prescription Dosage Error Note, indicating an incorrect dosage for Mr. Stewart.

Going to Jessica's House on Farrow Street

Use the Scalpel to open the gate to St. Amelia Park. In the park, find Strange Postcard 2. Continue northwest to Farrow Street and proceed to Jessica's house. The final gate is locked, so enter the garden on the right and squeeze through a gap.

At the end of the road, find Strange Postcard 3 on a tall wall. Return to Jessica's house, but the adjacent No. 16 is open. Inside Flat 1/2 upstairs, find the Feeling Sick Note, Strange Postcard 4, the 21 Farrow St. Back Door Key, and gauze.

In Flat 0/1 downstairs, find a First Aid Kit and a locked blue lockbox. Return to Jessica's house and use the Back Door Key to enter. In the back gardens, collect a Plank. Inside Jessica's house, find a save phone, an answer machine, a Lockbox Key, and documents. In the bedroom, find a Broken Stethoscope. In the bathroom, find gauze.

Return to No. 16 Flat 0/1 and use the Lockbox Key to open the blue lockbox, obtaining an Empty IV Bag and IV Fluid.

Solving the Weighing Scales Puzzle

Return to the Shorefront Family Clinic and Zoe's office. The weighing scales puzzle requires placing Zoe's Lanyard, Broken Stethoscope, and the Prescription Dosage Error on the scales from left to right, corresponding to her self-criticisms in her Resignation Letter: 'I didn't listen closely enough' (Stethoscope), 'I made mistakes and couldn't focus on the tasks at hand' (Prescription Dosage Error), and 'I'm not fit to work in this role any longer' (Lanyard).

Upon solving the puzzle, a cutscene plays, and you will assume control of a new character.

Silent Hill: Townfall Part 2 - Zoe Walkthrough

Part 2 shifts focus to Zoe Ellis, a district nurse, as she navigates St. Amelia and checks on Mr. Stewart. The section also sees Simon attempting to reach the Medical Centre.

Unlocking Jane's Garden Shed and the Community Gardens

In Zoe's home, find gauze, a Water Warning document, and receive a Pager alert for Mr. Stewart at No. 10 Church Avenue.

The St. Amelia Shorefront Map will show Church Avenue branching off the Community Gardens. Proceed to the Community Gardens, where the eastern gate is locked. Investigate Jane's garden shed, which requires a code. Find Jane Chalmers' plaque in the garden, noting her 'Community Spirit Award' in 1993. Input 1993 into the shed's lock to obtain Jane Chalmers' Obituary, Alcohol, and the Community Garden Key.

Use the key to exit the Community Gardens via the eastern gate.

Going to Mr. Stewart's House

Receive a Pager alert for Mr. Stewart's house. He is not home. Go around the back of the houses on Church Avenue and enter Mr. Stewart's back garden through a hole in the fence. Inside his house, find Empty Medication Packets, gauze, radios for distraction, a save phone, a photograph, the St. Amelia Standard Newspaper, and Mr. Stewart's Index Note.

In the bathroom, a cutscene triggers, showing Mr. Stewart in a dire state and Zoe seemingly transported to the Otherworld. The back door is now locked.

Escaping Mr. Stewart's House

Hide in the kitchen cupboard until the path to the bathroom is clear. Once Mr. Stewart is elsewhere, enter the bathroom and lock the door. Find Mr. Stewart's Key on the counter. Once the hallway is clear, use the key to unlock the back door and escape.

Proceed towards the St. Amelia Medical Centre via Commercial Road and Station Road, learning to use Throwing Items to stun or distract enemies.

Calling Dr. Glenn

At the Medical Centre, find the Medical Security Note indicating staff should call Dr. Glenn at 496-0556. Use the phone box on Station Road to call. Answer Dr. Glenn's questions: Press 3 for Zoe Ellis, 2 for her role as a nurse, 2 for Mr. Stewart's condition (died from neglect), and 1 for blame.

Entering the Medical Centre and Going to Surgery

After a cutscene, all staff are summoned to the Medical Centre. The car park gate is now open. Enter the garage beside the Ambulance Service Building, finding gauze, alcohol, a save phone, and gate controls.

Save your game and use the gate controls to open a gate opposite the Ambulance Service Building. Enter the Medical Centre, where Zoe speaks with Simon. Simon receives a Signal from Richard directing him to the Town Square.

Collecting Richard's Gift

Playing as Simon, you'll have a CRTV Signal from Zoe. In the Town Square, interact with the Vigil & Protest Flyer and find Richard's gift: a box containing a Pistol and four Pistol Rounds. Opening it transports you to the Otherworld.

Entering the Tenement Buildings Beside Flemington Street

Navigate the changed map in the Otherworld. Follow these steps to reach Station Road: proceed along Main Street, enter the Pharmacy, go along Merchant Lane, and then through the set of houses labeled '15' (The Wynds).

Reach the phone box near number 15 on the map. Lure an enemy away with a radio to access a gate. West of the phone box, find Strange Postcard 5.

Save at the phone box, then enter the back garden on its right. Deal with the enemy and break fence panels to proceed. A gate to Commercial Road is on your right. Proceed left along Commercial Road.

On Flemington Street, use the Scalpel to unlock a door. In the following back garden, use a radio to distract the enemy, then squeeze between garden sheds.

Enter an alleyway and then a garden on the left. Press ahead into a building with a working street light.

Exiting onto Station Road, and Going to the Medical Centre

Explore Flats 1/1 and 2/2. On the third floor, find Pistol Rounds. Enter Flat 3/3, finding gauze and a Bottle. Exit through the window and descend a ladder.

Enter apartments via a window on the right, finding a First Aid Kit in the kitchen drawer. Proceed downstairs to Flat 1/1, drop through a hole in the floorboards.

In the next flat, find a Plank and gauze. Save your game in the hallway, then exit via the back door. Loot the back garden sheds; the east-most contains Strange Postcard 6.

Exit the apartments via the front door to Station Road. Enter the Medical Centre's car park and proceed into Accident and Emergency. A cutscene shows a monster approaching Simon before he locks himself inside, leading to a reunion with Zoe.

Silent Hill: Townfall Part 3 - The Patient Walkthrough

Part 3, "The Patient," involves intricate medical procedures within St. Amelia Medical Centre, with sections playing as both Zoe and Simon.

Answering Dr. Glenn's Questions

In the Surgery, loot the room for a First Aid Kit, the St. Amelia Medical Centre Map, and PC information. Speak to Dr. Glenn via intercom. Answer his questions by interacting with the correct vital signs monitors:

  1. Blood Pressure: The second monitor from the right.
  2. Pulse: The third monitor from the right (162 bpm).
  3. Blood Oxygen: The fifth monitor from the right (80%).

Dr. Glenn will provide the code 7103 to the x-ray room.

Performing an X-ray

Enter the x-ray room using code 7103. Refer to the X-Ray Dosage Table on the Surgery's PC. For the patient's skull, set Volts (kV) to 3, Cur (mA) to 7, and Time (s) to 1. Align the camera and press 'Alignment'.

For the chest x-ray, set Volts (kV) to 7, Cur (mA) to 3, and Time (s) to 1.2. Align the camera and press 'Alignment'.

Collect the x-ray images from the Printer and place them on the whiteboard. Report the findings to Dr. Glenn.

Finding the Three Medications

The required medications are: 2.5mg Dextracyclate, 3mg Hydroxalene, and 11mg Tensobromide. These can be found:

  1. Pharmacy Store (ground level): Tensobride 11mg.
  2. Reception and Office (hallway outside Surgery): Save phones.
  3. Chapman Ward (upstairs), Bay 6: Dextracyclate 2.5mg.
  4. Chapman Ward (upstairs), northern Office: Records Room code 2605.
  5. Chapman Ward (ground level), Records Room: 3mg Hydroxalene.

Administering the Medication

Return to the Surgery. Refer to the Medication Dosage Table on the PC and the patient's Body Mass (88kg) on the whiteboard. Set the infusion equipment delivery rates: Dextracyclate (15), Hydroxalene (7), and Tensobromide (8).

Press 'set rate', input the values, press 'ready' for each medication, then press 'start' on the pump machine.

Collecting Intubation Equipment and Intubating the Patient

Go to Reception and call extension 5353. The intubation equipment is in the basement Storage. Use the elevator to reach 'B', then navigate to Storage to find the Medical Intubation Kit.

Return to the Surgery and use the kit to intubate the patient via a minigame. Follow the on-screen prompts and indicators to position the tube correctly. A cutscene reveals the patient is Simon.

Exploring the Basement and Collecting Alan Duncan's Blood Bag

Playing as Simon, enter the x-ray room (7103) to collect Strange Postcard 7. Descend the ladder in the Surgery.

Navigate the basement, squeezing through a gap in the wall. Use the CRTV to tune into a radio signal. Exit via a vent to a bathroom.

Exit the bathroom and swap your Plank for a Pipe to open a gate. Enter the next room to find the Medical Centre - Different Map and a save phone.

Collect Alan Duncan's Blood Bag from a bed in the southernmost room on the east side. Read Zoe's Patient List, which reveals the locations of four more patients: Sarah Watson (S05, Ward S), Lesley Greer (S12, Ward W), Matthew Clark (D01, Ward P), and George McEwan (P10, Ward D).

Collecting Blood Bags from Ward SW

Use Alan Duncan's Blood Bag on the transfusion machine to open the western gate to Ward SW. Descend the ladder. In Ward S, find Sarah Watson's room (S05) and collect her Blood Bag. Listen to Zoe's voice message.

Navigate the stairwell in the west of Ward S to Ward W. Stealth past the large enemy to Room 04 to find the Ward W Master Key. Use this key to enter Room 13, ascend the ladder, and collect Lesley Greer's Blood Bag from her room.

Return to the main hall.

Collecting Blood Bags from Ward DP

Use Lesley Greer's Blood Bag on the transfusion machine to open the eastern gate to Ward DP. In Ward DP, enter Room 03. Follow the path to Matthew Clark's room (02) and interact with the elevator to drop his Blood Bag to Room 03 below (Ward P).

Go to the stairwell on the east of the ward, then enter the vent to reach Room 06 and Room 07. In Room 07, drop into George McEwan's room (10, Ward P) and collect his Blood Bag and the Ward P Master Key.

Use the Ward P Master Key to enter Room 03 on this floor and collect Matthew Clark's Blood Bag from the elevator.

With all blood bags collected, return to the main hall, avoiding the monster. Turn a valve in Room 05 to reopen the gates.

Placing Blood Bags with Correct Medical Records

Save your game. Place the blood bags beside their corresponding medical records in the main hall:

  • Sarah Watson's Blood Bag (A+) goes beside 'Regular Pulse and Head Wound'.
  • Matthew Clark's Blood Bag (B+) goes beside 'Obeys commands'.
  • George McEwan's Blood Bag (AB+) goes beside '2nd/3rd' degree burns'.

Interact with the Blood Transfusion Machine to open the adjacent door.

Solving the Blood Transfusion Vault Puzzle

In the blood transfusion vault, Simon Ordell's blood type is A+. Combine this with O-, O+, and A- blood types. The available patient initials and blood types are: HM (O-), SW (A+), RD (AB-), MC (B+), GM (AB+), TF (O+), SH (B-), DH (AB+).

Hook up HM, TF, and SW to Ordell's name in the center of the vault. Solve the puzzle by rotating the rings to connect these initials to the center. After solving, press Ordell's name.

A cutscene plays, followed by Simon waking up on the shorefront.

Start Again

Simon finds himself back on the shorefront. Proceed along the dock towards the blank sign for St. Amelia. This concludes Part 3.
