Firearm Parts in Valor Mortis are essential for upgrading your ranged weapons, allowing you to enhance the effectiveness of your Pistol or Blunderbuss against the mutated forces of Napoleon.
Standard Firearm Parts
Valley of Ashes
- Parts #1: After completing the 'An Unheard Farewell' side quest, access the carriage opposite the Adjudant Sous-Officier. Shoot a Nepthtoglobin node on the bridge, then look for a narrow wooden path where a gunman is positioned. Loot the golden item there.
- Parts #2: After crossing the bridge from Parts #1, enter the poisoned encampment. These parts are located on the floor just after the carriage containing the Emissary's Seal.
Abandoned Church
- Parts #3: After arriving at the Abandoned Church, exit the building and unlock the gate outside. The parts are on the floor just past this gate, near where William remarks on the path.
- Parts from James: Six sets can be purchased from James at the Abandoned Church for 1500 Catalysts each.
Fallen Village
- Parts #4: Located in the wheat fields just before the white house where you need to shoot a Nepthtoglobin node to gain entry.
Caverns
- Parts #5: From the Weeping Ledge Lantern, head straight ahead and look for an item along the cliff edge on your right.
- Parts #6: From the Old Mine Lantern, go straight into the mines and down the ladder. Turn left to find these behind some crates.
- Parts #7: Closest to the Old Mine Lantern. After unlocking the shortcut gate, go through, down the ladder, and down another ladder to the minecart tracks. Keep right and go up the stairs to find these atop a crate.
Vale of Wrath
- Parts #8: Past the Wolfsbane Field Lantern, cross the small bridge with the Nephtoglobin node. Enter the barn on the right; the parts are on the floor.
- Parts #9: From the Under the Bridge Lantern, cross the bridge and go right into a small shack. Continue through the forest until the path splits. Go left towards a wooden building. Around the right side, shoot a Nephtoglobin node through the window, then enter the building and go upstairs. Interact with the painting to move it, revealing another Nephtoglobin node to shoot. Follow the newly unblocked path on the right side of the house, keeping right to find the parts on a rock.
- Parts #10: Best accessed after exploring the Poisoned Camp and unlocking the shortcut back to the Under the Bridge Lantern. After crossing the bridge with the Iron Marshall-like enemy, climb rocks ahead and wall-ride to the building's interior. Use a lever to open a gate (use Stasis on the cog). Go through the gate into the village; these parts are upstairs in one of the houses.
Cursed Hollow
- Parts #11: From the Village Church Lantern, go into the village and keep left. The parts are on the floor beside a well.
- Parts #12: From the Deep Water Lantern, go right, then left down the first alley. Near a tree with two Spewer enemies, jump over poison to grab the parts on the floor.
- Parts #13: From the Deep Water Lantern, go through the house on your left (requires shortcut). Head left into another house, and keep left to find these parts on the floor outside.
The Outskirts
- Parts #14: From the Broken Bridge Lantern, go through the ruined bridge and crawl through a small, corruption-coated path. At the end, use the Grapple point to reach a battlefield. Look left for the end of a bridge protruding from the ground with an item on it.
City of Orphans
- Parts #15: From the Shamble Street Lantern, go towards the locked gate. Follow the wooden platforms on the left into the next building. Go down the ladder into the courtyard, then up the ladder opposite. In the next building, climb a white crate to reach the next floor. Shoot the Nepthoglobin node for a shortcut. Use the grapple hook to reach the next building, go downstairs, through the broken wall, and find the parts on your immediate left.
- Parts #16: From the Shamble Street Lantern, head towards the locked gate. Follow the wooden platforms left into the next building. Go down the ladder into the courtyard, then up the ladder opposite. In the next building, climb a white crate to the next floor. Shoot the Nepthoglobin node for a shortcut, then use the grapple hook to reach the next building. Go downstairs and through the broken wall; the parts are on the floor behind you to the left.
- Parts #17: From the Sewers Lantern (after acquiring the Sewers Key), go straight and unlock the gate on your left. Go up the stairs. Go through the area, clear enemies, and go left to pull a Nepthoglobin blockade for a shortcut. Go back and right, jump onto the railing, and land on the Nephtoglobin foundation. To the left, loot the Sewers Master Key. Return through the area to a gate unlocked by the Sewers Master Key. Exit and go up the ramp, then U-turn to find a Nepthtoglobin railing. Activate it, clear enemies, and loot the item from atop the crates.
- Parts #18: From the Sewers Lantern (after acquiring the Sewers Master Key), unlock the gate beside it and open the chest inside.
Superior Firearm Parts
Valley of Ashes
- Parts #1: From where the Grenadier enemy is (before the Demolished Path Lantern), go right of the cage and shoot a node through the gap in the rocks (requires the pistol). Go right and over the wooden platform, then keep left to find a chest. An enemy will emerge upon entering.
Caverns
- Parts #2 and #3: From the Old Mine Lantern, go straight into the mines. Use the Stasis-frozen crate to reach the opposite side. Go further into the cave, then up the ladder. Crawl through a crawlspace on the right to reach a room with a Grenadier and a Howler. Open the chest they guarded.
- Parts #4: From the Mine Cart Route Lantern, enter the cavern with Volunteer enemies and cross two bridges. In the next area, use the Grapple. Before going up the ramp, head right to find these parts on a crate.
Cursed Hollow
- Parts #5: From the Village Church Lantern, go into the village and keep straight. Past a Volunteer and a Remnant of the Iron Regiment enemy, go under the bridge and look left. The parts are on the floor past a poisonous pool.
- Parts #6: From the Deep Water Lantern, go right, then left down the first alley. Near a tree with Spewer enemies, jump over poison to grab Standard Firearm Parts. Return to the alley and go right into the house beside the tree. Inside is a chest containing Superior Firearm Parts.
- Parts #7: From the Deep Water Lantern, go right, then left towards the Remnant of the Iron Regiment enemy. The parts are on the well he is patrolling.
The Outskirts
- Parts #8: From the Island of Whispers Lantern, go across the bridge (requires shooting a Nephtoglobin node). Climb into the barn using crates. Clear enemies inside and pick up the item from behind hay bales on the upper floor.
- Parts #9: From the Market Square Lantern, walk down the road towards the poisonous village. Enter the village and go into the barn on the left. Upstairs, activate the Nephtoglobin rail and jump to the opposite barn. Go downstairs and between hay bales to find a chest.
- Parts #10: From the Market Square Lantern, walk down the road towards the poisonous village. Enter the village and go into the barn on the left. Upstairs, activate the Nephtoglobin rail and jump to the opposite barn. Go downstairs and enter the house. Upstairs again, burn a yellow growth (beware of the Volunteer enemy). Grapple into the building he was in and loot the item behind his body.
City of Orphans
- Parts #11: From the Tribunal Square Lantern, go straight and destroy crates on your left. Follow the path left, then right. Kill the soldier enemies, including a Volunteer. Go to the end of the road and enter the house on the right. Shoot two Nephtoglobin nodes inside, then go upstairs. Shoot a third node. Jump down outside the house and go through the tunnel unblocked by the final node. At the end, go right into the house and prepare for enemies, including a Volunteer. Navigate upstairs (beware of a false floor on the second floor). On the third floor, cross wooden beams and enter the room on your left to find a nest and the parts on the floor.

Cursed Hollow
- Parts #1: From the Deep Water Lantern, go straight through the barn and use Grapple hooks to reach a Grenadier enemy. Head left into an abandoned camp. Go past the blue memory on the right to find a chest.
The Outskirts
- Parts #2: From the Market Square Lantern, walk down the road towards the poisonous village. Enter the village and go into the barn on the left. On the lower level, kill the enemies, then carefully loot the item from the poisonous mass on the floor.
City of Orphans
- Parts #3: From the Shamble Street Lantern, head towards the locked gate. Follow the wooden platforms left into the next building. Go down the ladder into the courtyard, then up the ladder opposite. In the next building, climb a white crate to the next floor. Shoot the Nepthoglobin node for a shortcut, then use the grapple hook to reach the next building. Go outside via the broken wall and up the ladder, then across the bridge. Traverse the rooftop gaps and enter the next building to find a chest guarded by two gunmen.
University
- Parts #4: From the Main Hall Lantern (after discovering the Auditorium Key), go through the locked gate on the right. The parts are on the desk in the following room (the Auditorium).
- Parts #6: From the Lift Shaft Lantern, follow the linear path through the laboratory. In the green room with Nephtoglobin foundations, go into the red room ahead to unlock a shortcut. Go back to the green room and use the foundations to reveal an orange Nephtoglobin node. Shoot it to create a path downwards. Follow this to a room with multiple Howler enemies. Kill them all to receive the Warrior's Fury Level 2 Amber and loot Exquisite Firearm Parts from atop a crate.
Abandoned Church
- Parts #5: After unlocking the Shield Transmutation in the University, enter the poisonous pit in the Crypt beneath the Abandoned Church. The parts are in the small room at the end of the passage.
Fortress
- Parts #7: From the Courtyard Lantern, go through the archway with the tricolore. At the crossroads, go straight and up the stairs. Follow the path around to your left to find a chest.
Fortress' Prison
- Parts #8: From the first Lantern in the sewer system (at the beginning of your prison escape), go straight and right. Follow the path. At the very end, before emerging into the City of Orphans, there is an Abomination enemy and a poisonous path to the right. Kill the enemy and use Shield Transmutation to head right, where you'll find a chest.

Masterwork Firearm Parts
University
- Parts #1: After acquiring the Sewer Master Key, unlock the gate directly beside the Sewers Lantern and open the chest inside.
- Parts #2: From the Main Hall Lantern, go upstairs and through the leftmost shortcut door (if unlocked). Go down the hall and right at the crossroads, jumping to the opposite balcony using the chandelier. Go down the poisonous hallway (using Shield Transmutation) and into the passage beyond. Ride the elevator downwards. Proceed straight, then right where possible, and continue straight into the next hall. You'll arrive at an auditorium with hanging figures and a blue memory. Open the chest by the ladder at the back.
