As players progress through the sewers beneath Valor Mortis' City of Orphans and approach the University, acquiring the Sewers Key and Sewers Master Key becomes essential for advancement and unlocking shortcuts. This guide details the locations of both items.
Sewers Key Location
Starting from the Sewers Lantern in the City of Orphans, players must enter the sewers and utilize the grapple hook. Continue forward until a Volunteer enemy guarding a ladder is encountered. Defeat the enemy and descend the ladder. In the chamber below, two Grenadier enemies are positioned in a confined space. After defeating them, open the chest present in the room to obtain the Sewers Key. It's possible to use the Grenadiers' own explosives to eliminate each other.
Sewers Master Key Location
From the Sewers Lantern, proceed straight ahead. Upon reaching a gate on the left, unlock it and ascend the stairs into another section of the sewers. Moving through this next area and clearing out any enemies, players can then turn left towards a blue Nepthoglobin blockade. Pulling this blockade creates a shortcut back to the Sewers Lantern. After activating this shortcut, backtrack and proceed right. Players will need to jump onto the railing and land on the Nephtoglobin foundation across the gap. To the left of this foundation, the Sewers Master Key can be found on the ground. With both keys secured, players can fully explore the area and proceed towards the University.
