The Lullaby side quest in Valor Mortis begins with an unsettling discovery: an abandoned, bloody crib within a hut in the Fallen Village. Approaching this crib triggers the sound of a crying baby, prompting protagonist William to investigate a way to appease the spectral infant.
Starting the Lullaby Quest
To commence the quest, fast travel to the Marketplace Lantern in the Fallen Village. From there, enter the first open house to your left, situated just before the bridge. Inside, you will find the disturbing crib, and the quest will initiate.
Obtaining the Weathered Key
After triggering the quest, proceed to the back garden of the same house. Defeat the enemies present and then collect the Weathered Key from the ground.
Using the Weathered Key
With the Weathered Key in hand, exit the house and return to the Marketplace Lantern. Navigate back through the carriage where the Blunderbuss weapon is located. From there, turn right towards a wooden gate, being wary of an exploding enemy that will approach.
Continue along this path, sticking to the left side and avoiding the Shambling Civilians, until you reach a bridge leading to a small shack.
Use the Weathered Key to unlock the shack and enter.
Retrieving and Placing the Toy
Inside the shack, you will find a Toy on a bed. Collect this item. Once you have the Toy, return to the house containing the bloody crib. You will now be able to place the Toy in the crib to complete the quest.
Upon completion, you will receive the Tomorrow's Promise Amber as a reward.
