The Mummy and Daddy side quest in Valor Mortis tasks players with delivering cheese to the parents of Mimi and Agnes, two Mice characters. This quest begins after William encounters the Mice in the sewers, accessible from the Sewers Lantern in the City of Orphans.
Starting the Quest
To begin the Mummy and Daddy quest, players must navigate through the sewers. After using the grapple hook, proceed forward until a Volunteer enemy guards a ladder. Defeat the enemy and descend the ladder. In the area below, two Grenadier enemies are present in a confined space; eliminate them and move to the next room. There, interact with the nest to speak with Mimi and Agnes. They will then ask William to deliver cheese to their parents, initiating the side quest.
Calming the Parents
The Mice's parents are located in a prison cell adjacent to the nest. However, access is restricted until the zombie parent duo is calmed. To achieve this, proceed through the door next to the cell. Inside, destroy the crates to reveal a crawl space leading to a hidden sleeping quarters. This area contains a rocking horse, cheese, and a music box. Interacting with the music box will play a melody that pacifies the zombie parents.
Delivering the Cheese
Once the music box is playing and the parents are calmed, attempt to enter the cell. Here, players can interact with a table containing a plate and place the cheese that the Mice provided earlier. After successfully delivering the cheese, speak to the Mice again. They will reward William with a 'Tiny Whisker Gift,' which is a Catalyst Clot that grants 3000 Catalysts upon consumption. It is also noted that the Mice may offer assistance in later endeavors if William has interacted with them throughout the game.
