Shroud mushrooms are a vital crafting resource in Enshrouded, crucial for creating items like goo and alchemical base, as well as several armor pieces. Unlike the common mushrooms found in regular forests, these unique fungi only grow in specific, hazardous environments.
Harvesting Shroud Mushrooms
The key to finding shroud mushrooms is to venture into the <strong>Revelwood</strong> region and seek out areas affected by the shroud. A particularly effective farming spot is located southeast of the Ancient Spire in Revelwood. Players can glide down from the spire and land in the shroud south of Gloomsbury Keep, which offers a relatively safe zone for gathering.
If the area becomes too dangerous due to enemies, or if your time within the shroud is limited, players can retreat southwest following a path that leads out of the shroud. The map indicates a clear exit point in this direction.
Shroud mushrooms are characterized by their large size, often appearing as gigantic versions of regular mushrooms. They typically grow in clusters of one to three stems and emit a subtle green glow from beneath their caps. A tool, specifically an axe, is required to harvest them. Each successful harvest can yield between five and 12 shroud mushroom pieces. These mushrooms serve as crafting components and are not edible.
