Dell has released its new 32-inch Alienware AW3226Q gaming monitor, which integrates LG's RGB Stripe Tandem OLED technology. The monitor is currently available on Dell.com for a launch price of $699.99 with free shipping.
This new display combines a native 4K resolution with an OLED panel, enhanced by the RGB stripe tandem OLED technology. Tandem OLED technology stacks multiple OLED layers, resulting in higher peak brightness—the AW3226Q achieves 1,000 nits—and improved resistance to burn-in compared to single-layer OLED panels.
The implementation of RGB stripe technology further refines the panel by breaking down colors into vertically aligned red, green, and blue pixels. This approach is said to reduce color fringing and significantly enhance text clarity, benefiting both gaming and productivity.
The 32-inch monitor offers a resolution of 3840 x 2160 (4K), providing a pixel density of 138 pixels per inch. OLED monitors are recognized for their rapid response times and perfect black levels, making them suitable for gaming. The AW3226Q features a 165Hz refresh rate at 4K resolution and supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and NVIDIA G-Sync compatibility. Connectivity options include DisplayPort 2.1 and HDMI 2.1 ports.
Alienware provides a three-year warranty for the monitor, which includes coverage for OLED burn-in.
