Galax, a hardware manufacturer owned by Palit, has revealed plans to release a special edition of the Nvidia RTX 5090 GPU adorned with Swarovski crystals. This announcement comes at a time when the RTX 5090 is experiencing constrained supply and elevated pricing, making it difficult for consumers to acquire.
The GeForce RTX 5090 Hall of Fame Edition was initially showcased during Computex, leading some to believe it hinted at a new GPU generation. However, it has now been confirmed that this crystal-encrusted variant is based on the current generation of the RTX 5090. This special edition is scheduled for release on October 22.
No price has been announced for the crystal-embellished GPU. Given the already substantial cost of a standard RTX 5090, potential buyers are likely to require significant financial resources for this luxury model. For context, the RTX 5090 has become so scarce that it has been excluded from graphics card price watches, with reports indicating availability only on marketplaces like Newegg's for prices exceeding $9,000.
Beyond the crystal embellishments, the card will feature a striking white design, a hallmark of many Galax Hall of Fame editions. It will also include dual 12V-2x6 power connectors, intended to provide ample power for demanding performance.
