A Gigabyte Gaming A16 Pro laptop featuring 32GB of RAM and an NVIDIA RTX 5070 Ti graphics card is currently available for $1,450 at Walmart. This configuration, particularly the 32GB memory capacity paired with the RTX 5070 Ti, is unusually scarce in the gaming laptop market for this price point, especially after recent memory cost fluctuations.
The RTX 5070 Ti in this laptop is configured at 115W, which is not its maximum potential but is still expected to offer solid performance. To maintain high frame rates at the laptop's native 1600p resolution on its 165Hz display, players may need to utilize DLSS in particularly demanding titles, a common requirement for modern high-resolution gaming laptops.
Powering the system is an Intel Core 7 240H processor, which features six Performance cores and four Efficient cores. While not a top-tier CPU for intensive productivity tasks, it should be more than adequate for gaming and is still capable of respectable performance in other applications.
The inclusion of 32GB of RAM is a significant advantage, as memory shortages have driven up prices and reduced the availability of systems with such large memory capacities. While some RTX 5060 models with 32GB of RAM can be found at reasonable prices, laptops with the more powerful RTX 5070 Ti and this memory configuration have become exceedingly rare.
Additionally, the laptop comes equipped with a 1TB SSD, providing ample storage for modern games, the operating system, and essential applications. This is a notable feature, as many gaming laptops in this segment are often found with smaller 512GB drives.
In terms of design, the Gigabyte A16 Pro boasts an aesthetic that is described as mature and capable of fitting into professional environments without drawing undue attention. The chassis design has been a positive aspect of Gigabyte's recent offerings.
While not the absolute highest-performing gaming laptop on the market, the combination of its RTX 5070 Ti, 32GB of RAM, and 1TB SSD at a sub-$1,500 price makes this Gigabyte model a compelling and smart purchase, especially when compared to other 16GB RTX 5070 machines that often exceed $1,600.
