The analysis, dubbed the "PC Gamer price-to-weight-to-value-to-quality score" or the "James score," assigns a value based on a mouse's grams-per-dollar metric and its existing review score. The price-to-weight ratio is calculated by dividing the mouse's weight in grams by its MSRP. This figure is then scaled, with the lowest ranked mouse receiving 100% and the highest receiving 0%. This score is then averaged with the mouse's review score percentage.
According to this system, the Glorious Model O Eternal secured the highest overall score. This particular mouse was also recently highlighted as a strong budget option, further supporting its position at the top of this specific value ranking. Following closely in second place is the 8BitDo Retro R8, a mouse that the author personally uses. Two Mchose mice, the L7 Pro+ and the K7 V2 Ultra+, tied for a joint third-place finish.
