Disney World and Disneyland Announce Ticket Price Increases

Disney has implemented new price adjustments for tickets at both Disneyland and Disney World theme parks. While certain ticket types are subject to these increases, the company noted that other options remain unchanged, potentially offering more affordable entry for some guests.

These price hikes follow a history of increasing costs at Disney parks over the years. Disney has stated that these adjustments are reflective of the added value guests receive, particularly with recent park expansions that include new attractions, dining options, and themed lands. The company highlighted that visitors often find greater value in their experiences, especially when visiting during off-peak times.

Disneyland Ticket Adjustments

At Disneyland, the pricing for one-day tickets is now tiered based on demand. Higher demand days will correspond to higher ticket prices, while lower demand days will offer more affordable options. Disney has adjusted the pricing for mid-tier tickets, with only the lowest (Tier 0) and highest (Tier 5 and Tier 6) tiers remaining available for purchase. Prices for multi-day tickets and annual passes will not be affected by this change.

The Park Hopper add-on, which allows access to multiple parks in one day, will see a price increase ranging from $5 to $10 for one-day tickets and $5 to $15 for multi-day tickets, depending on the ticket tier. Additionally, the cost of the Lightning Lane Multi Pass add-on has increased by $1, bringing its cheapest option to $38.

Disney World Ticket Changes

Disney World is also introducing price increases, notably affecting tickets for high-demand periods such as New Year's Eve and Christmas. The highest-tier tickets for these specific dates will see an additional $20 increase.

Unlike Disneyland, Disney World's annual passes are not exempt from price changes. The Pixie Dust Pass, the most affordable annual pass, has increased by $10. More significant increases are seen in the higher-tier passes, with the Incredi-Pass now costing $120 more. The Pirate and Sorcerer Passes have each seen a $40 price increase.

Despite these adjustments, Disney confirmed that prices for low-season visits at both Disneyland and Disney World will remain unchanged. This offers attendees the opportunity to still plan more budget-friendly trips by visiting during off-peak times.
