EA Launches New Advertising Platform for In-Game Brand Integration

Electronic Arts has unveiled EA Advertising, a new platform designed to facilitate brand connections within its extensive game portfolio. The service promises "bespoke integrations" that aim to enhance, rather than interrupt, the player experience through dynamic, real-time placements.

This new initiative allows brands to appear in interactive gameplay environments, mirroring how advertising is encountered in the real world. According to EA, these placements can be customized to meet specific campaign objectives and are open to ongoing optimization based on aggregated engagement data. Examples provided by EA include digital ad boards, scoreboards, and broadcast overlays within its sports titles. The platform also emphasizes a privacy-safe approach for advertisers seeking to improve targeting, with options to leverage the EA Sports Partner Program for deeper integrations.

David Tinson, EA’s chief experiences officer, stated that the platform offers brands a meaningful opportunity to engage with players in ways that add value and respect the player experience, while maintaining authenticity within the game worlds. "With EA Advertising, we’re helping brands become part of those moments in ways that are relevant and built for players," he said.

Several brands, including Visa, Lowe's, Red Bull, Xfinity, Peacock, and Mountain Dew, have already partnered with EA Advertising and have had integrations appear in titles such as Madden, College Football, and FC.
