Acclaimed action game developer Ninja Theory is reportedly facing closure, as Xbox's continued restructuring of its studios appears to impact the Hellblade creators. Xbox's chief content officer and executive vice president, Matt Booty, announced in a post on the official Xbox website on September 22 that the studio will proceed with proposed closures. "Unfortunately, two separate agreements for Ninja Theory fell through," Booty stated. "We will now begin consultation with employees on a proposed closure while continuing to explore other paths forward." The news signals another potential loss for the games industry, with Ninja Theory being recognized for its work on titles such as Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice and its sequel, Senua's Saga: Hellblade II.
