OnePlus has announced it is ceasing operations in the U.S. and European mobile phone markets. This means that no new OnePlus phones will be released in these regions, though current inventory will continue to be sold until stock is depleted.
Existing OnePlus owners will still receive software updates, security patches, and after-sales support where applicable. The company has stated that customer support will remain available, existing warranties will be honored, and repair services will continue to be offered. Users will also be able to update to the upcoming ColorOS 17, provided their device is already supported.
However, the company will be closing the U.S. version of its community forums on August 16, 2026. Posts will become inaccessible after this date, requiring users to manually save any content they wish to retain.
This move leaves a vacancy in the premium smartphone segment, with competitors like Samsung expected to reveal new foldable devices soon, and Google set to announce its next Pixel phones in August.
