A Kickstarter project for the SYITREN RM1 CD Player, also described as a "Living Art CD Player," has garnered significant attention and funding, exceeding its initial goal and now presenting late pledge opportunities with discounts of up to 55%. The campaign, which has attracted over 4,500 backers and raised more than $543,000, aims to blend retro music playback with a unique aesthetic.
The SYITREN RM1 is designed to be both a functional CD player and a decorative art piece. It features a transparent, dual-layer acrylic design with metal pillars that showcase the spinning CD. An integrated 2x8 LED matrix provides illumination within the frame. The unit can be displayed on a shelf or desk using detachable stands, or mounted on a wall.
For audio playback, backers can opt for a bundle that includes the RM1's speaker, or connect their own speakers via Bluetooth 5.3. The player automatically begins playback when a CD is inserted, and volume and skip functions are controlled by an included remote. The device is compatible with standard Bluetooth speakers and has an operational range of approximately 10 meters.
Launched on Kickstarter, the project has surpassed its initial $3,000 goal with considerable time remaining on its campaign. Late pledges are available, offering various bundles such as the "Frame & Sound Bundle X1" for $139 (50% off), the "Early Bird X1" for $109 (35% off), the "Double Display Set X2" for $169 (53% off), and the "Collector Wall Set X4" for $319 (55% off). Estimated delivery for these rewards is October 2026. It is important to note that Kickstarter rewards are not guaranteed and are subject to project fulfillment.
