The Raid-inspired beat-'em-up Acts of Blood has officially received a release date for Windows PC: December 4. Developer Eksil Team announced the launch for its martial arts title, which was previously only confirmed for PC. Console players will have to wait longer, as Acts of Blood is slated for a 2027 release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
Acts of Blood, which was first highlighted at Summer Game Fest, draws heavy inspiration from action films like The Raid and games such as Sifu and Sleeping Dogs. The game casts players as Hendra, who embarks on a quest for revenge after his family's murder. The official description states Hendra will "beat down waves of enemies, defeat powerful bosses, and avenge your family."
Developer Fajrul FN described the gameplay as a blend of counter-based combat and layered combo mechanics, with visual influences from Max Payne and Manhunt for grit and tone. Players can expect a variety of strikes, counters, and finishers, alongside environmental interactions and the use of melee and firearms. Eksil Team has emphasized its commitment to violence, promising brutal takedowns and dismemberment.
A demo for Acts of Blood is currently available on Steam, which has garnered over 1,500 Very Positive player reviews. Players have praised its animations, weighty combat, and combo system. As one reviewer put it, the game captures the feel of The Raid, calling it "awesome."
