Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 Gets August 2026 Release Date

Developer Cold Iron has confirmed that Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 will launch on August 25, 2026. This follows earlier speculation that began in July 2024 with a leaked pitch deck, which initially suggested a Q3 2025 release. The game was officially confirmed in May, with a revised window of Q3 2026.

A brief teaser trailer revealed the release date and hinted at numerous additions, including new perks, abilities, weapons, and Xenomorph types. The sequel will increase the co-op squad size from three to four players, aiming for deeper strategic coordination. Players will have access to a variety of new classes and weapons, each offering distinct playstyles and tactical advantages on the battlefield.

Further features include an updated horde mode and a new Specialist endgame class for custom Marines. The game will introduce five unique classes in total and promises "deadlier threats." Cross-platform play will be supported, complete with in-game voice chat. Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 is slated for release on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, as well as PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
