Best Buy has announced that select stores across the US will open at midnight on November 5 to accommodate the launch of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. The retailer's website is currently displaying a countdown to the game's release.
The midnight opening events will also feature a restock of the limited-edition Zelda 40th Anniversary Nintendo Switch 2 consoles and accompanying Pro controllers. This presents an opportunity for consumers who may have missed out on securing these special editions during initial preorder periods in September.
While Best Buy has not yet specified the exact number of consoles available or which stores will be participating, it has cautioned that quantities will be limited. Store hours may vary by region, and customers are advised to check with their local Best Buy for confirmation before attending.
Customers who have preordered The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for shipping may also be able to collect their orders during the midnight opening by modifying their existing orders through their Best Buy account.
It is worth noting that other major retailers like Amazon and Walmart are listing The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for $59.88, a lower price than Best Buy's $69.99 MSRP.
