The original versions of Call of Duty: Black Ops and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 have launched on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Developed by Iron Galaxy in collaboration with Activision, these releases are not remasters or remakes, offering the games as they were initially released. Both titles are priced at $40 each, though PlayStation Plus subscribers can acquire them for $20 per game until August 6. A combined bundle for both games is not available.
These ports are described as providing a "classic Call of Duty experience," which means cross-platform multiplayer is not included. Beyond the base games, Activision is also offering the season pass for each title for $30. PlayStation Plus members can purchase the season passes for $10 each through August 6. These season passes include additional multiplayer maps and Zombies content.
The next new entry in the Call of Duty franchise, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, is slated for release this October on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.
