Crimson Desert's first major downloadable content, Charting the Unknown, is set to release imminently. This follows an initial delay of two weeks for the DLC, which arrives approximately seven months after the base game's launch. Pearl Abyss has been consistently updating the RPG with new content since its release.
Charting the Unknown will be available simultaneously worldwide on October 29 or 30. Players on the West Coast of the US can expect to access it at 3 pm PDT on October 29, while East Coast players can jump in at 6 pm EDT the same day. Those in the UK can start playing at 10 pm GMT, and Central European players at 11 pm CEST, all on October 29. For those in Australia and New Zealand, the release falls on October 30, with Australia at 9 am AEST and New Zealand at 11 am NZST.
The DLC's system requirements have been updated and are available on its Steam page. Preload is currently active, but prospective players should note the significant storage space required. The base game itself occupies 135GB, suggesting that a substantial download will be necessary for the Charting the Unknown DLC.
