Fantasy survival game Enshrouded will officially launch its 1.0 version on October 15, developer Keen Games GmbH has announced. This date positions the game's full release to avoid the significant market impact expected from Grand Theft Auto 6, which is slated for a November launch.
Details regarding the content of the 1.0 release have not yet been fully disclosed. Further information is expected to be shared by the developer sometime this summer. An announcement trailer featured a visual hinting at reaching "for the skies," accompanied by imagery of a large tree-like structure.
Enshrouded has been available in early access for nearly three years. The game casts players as a Flameborn, described as the "last ember of hope of a dying race." Gameplay involves exploring a fantasy world, engaging in boss fights and dungeon crawls, and extensive building mechanics.
Earlier this year, Enshrouded introduced its Adventure Sharing mode. This feature allows players to share their custom creations, such as dungeons or castles, with the community, aligning with user-generated content trends. While not fully implemented at the time of its initial update, it is anticipated that Adventure Sharing will be a polished feature by the game's 1.0 launch.
