Enshrouded has transitioned out of early access and is now available in its 1.0 version. The launch marks the end of a nearly three-year early access period for the survival action RPG developed by Keen Games GmbH.
The 1.0 release brings a fully realized world map of Emberval, allowing players to explore its entirety. The game's main quest now guides players through previously unvisited locations, and the primary storyline has been concluded, with developers hinting at future story updates.
Character progression has been extended, with players able to reach level 50 and acquire gear up to level 55. Furthermore, lore entries found within the game, such as letters, notes, and books, are now fully voice-acted in English, German, and Mandarin Chinese.
A significant addition is the "Sparkworks" logic system, enabling players to create custom gameplay experiences. This system facilitates the development of interactive elements like light switches, trap-filled dungeons, puzzles, and enemy encounters, offering considerable creative freedom.
Enshrouded's visuals have also been enhanced through new rendering technology. Each biome is designed to feel more distinct and unique, featuring specific lighting conditions. The update introduces new spells, improves combat mechanics, and adds new animations to character models, contributing to an overall more polished presentation.
