Five PS5 Games Arriving in July 2026, Including Halo and Assassin's Creed Remakes

July 2026 is set to bring a substantial lineup of new games to PlayStation 5, featuring major remakes, anticipated sequels, and an unexpected crossover for a beloved Xbox franchise. Among the highlights are an updated take on Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag and a remake of the original Halo's campaign, bringing Master Chief to PlayStation for the first time.

The month kicks off with Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced on July 9. This remake of the 2013 title promises updated modern-day segments, new storylines for characters like Blackbeard, and the addition of a pirate ship pet. Early impressions suggest it could be a standout remake, focusing on both the stealth action and the Caribbean naval combat that defined the original.

Also arriving on July 9 is EA Sports College Football 27. This iteration of the popular series builds upon its predecessors with new features in its core modes. Dynasty Mode will introduce NIL money management, while Road to Glory allows players to create characters as a tight end, edge rusher, or free safety. A new addition, Mascot Mashup, will feature 11-on-11 football matches with college mascots.

Following on July 13, The Alters: Last Variable expands the critically acclaimed survival game with a substantial new campaign. This expansion adds approximately 20 hours of gameplay, introducing new Jan clones to manage and fresh equipment to craft. It takes place after the base game but is accessible from the start menu, allowing new players to jump in and experience the tense survival scenarios on a hostile alien world.

For VR enthusiasts and those seeking alternatives, Moss: The Forgotten Relic arrives on July 16. This package converts the VR-exclusive titles Moss and Moss: Book 2 into flatscreen isometric adventures. Players will guide the mouse Quill through environmental puzzles and hidden secrets within a storybook world, with the collection featuring enhanced visuals and new cutscenes.

The month's releases conclude with Halo: Campaign Evolved on July 28. Following in the footsteps of other Xbox franchises making their way to PlayStation, this title remakes the story mode of the original Halo. While it omits competitive multiplayer, the campaign will be playable in co-op. New additions include weapons from later Halo entries and three original story missions designed to refresh the 25-year-old narrative. A notable feature is the Skull system, which can transform the game into a third-person shooter.

An honorable mention for July is Denshattack!, the indie title previously delayed from June. This unique game, described as skating with trains, is set to launch on July 15. Players will traverse Japan as a train, performing tricks and navigating railway environments.
