Forza Horizon 6 PS5 Release Set for January Alongside Major Expansion

Forza Horizon 6 is scheduled to race onto PlayStation 5 in January, arriving on January 26th. The release date was confirmed alongside the game's first major expansion, though details about this new content remain undisclosed. As with the PC and Xbox versions, a Premium Edition will be available for PS5 players, offering five days of early access. Pre-ordering any edition of the game on PS5 will also grant players a pre-tuned Ferrari J50.

This announcement addresses earlier rumors suggesting a potential delay for the PS5 version beyond its initial 2026 window. The January launch positions Forza Horizon 6 to avoid direct competition with Grand Theft Auto 6, a strategy likely to bolster its commercial performance and ensure a strong player base. The previous installment, Forza Horizon 5, was a considerable success on PS5, indicating a high demand for its successor.

IGN awarded Forza Horizon 6 a perfect 10/10 in its review, commending its expansive map, technical achievements, and well-structured campaign. An excerpt from the review states, "I’ll always concede Forza Horizon 3 may forever be my favourite open-world racer, because who doesn’t love driving around their own backyard, but make no mistake: Forza Horizon 6 is unequivocally the best. The new standard in open-world racing is here, and it’s a gundamn masterpiece."
