Players preparing for the November 19 launch of Grand Theft Auto VI can begin preloading the game on November 12, Rockstar Games has announced. This early access to download the game is intended to ensure players can jump into the title the moment it becomes available.
The preload window applies to digital preorders, allowing ample time for the substantial download. While Grand Theft Auto VI will not be released on disc, Rockstar is offering physical editions that include a code within the box. These physical copies will also be available for purchase starting November 12 to facilitate preloading for those who prefer a physical version.
However, purchasing a physical copy on November 12 does not mean immediate access. The game will remain locked until the official launch on November 19. Rockstar has not yet disclosed the official file size for Grand Theft Auto VI, but given that Grand Theft Auto V's file size can exceed 100 GB across various platforms, a similar or larger footprint is anticipated for the upcoming title.
Rockstar has also yet to share specific launch times for Grand Theft Auto VI on November 19. Further details regarding the exact unlock times are expected to be released closer to the launch date.
