GTA 6 Dominates November 2026 PS5 Releases, But Other Games Are Arriving Too

November 2026 is shaping up to be a remarkably quiet month for PlayStation 5 releases, a stark contrast to the usual volume of new titles. This calm is largely due to one colossal exception, the arrival of which explains the scarcity of other offerings. That game is scheduled to launch on November 19.

Despite the shadow cast by this major release, a closer look reveals several other notable games making their debut on PS5 throughout the month. These include an award-winning indie sequel, a unique concept from another independent developer, and a couple of intriguing remasters.

Zero Parades: For Dead Spies

Launching on November 3, Zero Parades: For Dead Spies is the latest from ZA/UM, the studio behind the acclaimed Disco Elysium. This title continues the studio's tradition of witty and dark storytelling, featuring some of the most distinctive role-playing systems available. It presents a spy thriller narrative focused on an inept spy seeking redemption after a profound betrayal, drawing more from the contemplative style of John le Carré than the action of James Bond. The game promises an absorbing and brilliantly written mystery.

Faraway

Arriving on November 5, Faraway offers a different kind of experience for those seeking counter-programming this month. Developed by Annapurna Interactive, this game is described as a stripped-down, abstract, and mathematical endless arcade experience. Players control a shooting star that must create constellations to survive, with visuals that appear mesmeric.

DreamWorks Shrek 2 Remastered

Scheduled for November 10, this release taps into a recent trend of remastering licensed children's games from the 2000s. Following in the footsteps of Toy Story 3: Complete Edition, this is a remaster of the 2004 co-op adventure based on the Shrek 2 movie. Originally an unremarkable title, it has since garnered a cult following, leading to questions about its potential as a hidden gem among action-RPGs.

Barbie Rewind

With a release date of November 12, Barbie Rewind is the second licensed children's game reissue of the month and presents a potentially special collection. Curated by video game archivists Digital Eclipse, known for Atari 50 and Tetris Forever, this anthology features 16 Barbie games released between 1991 and 2007, along with one previously unreleased title. The collection also includes an Unpacking-style feature where players can decorate a DreamHouse with classic Barbie items.

Grand Theft Auto 6

The undisputed centerpiece of November's PS5 releases is Grand Theft Auto 6, set to launch on November 19. Developed by Rockstar Games over a period of at least eight years, it is expected to be the most expensive game ever made and achieve the biggest launch in gaming history. The game appears spectacular, staying true to the Grand Theft Auto formula while also hinting at a potentially sensitive Bonnie-and-Clyde-style love story.
