Halo: Campaign Evolved, a remake of the 2001 title Halo: Combat Evolved built in Unreal Engine 5, is now available for purchase on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, as well as PC. The game features the original 10-mission campaign and introduces a new story arc.
Game Editions and Contents
Several editions of Halo: Campaign Evolved are offered, each with different bonus content. The Standard Edition includes the full game. The Premium Edition, available digitally for $69.99, adds several bonuses to the base game. These include up to five days of early access (now redundant), the Alpha Halo Armory Pack, and a Digital Story & Art Collection. The art collection comprises a new digital short story titled "Halo: Hungry Buzzards" by Troy Denning, which bridges the gap to the events of Operation: METEORITE, and "The Art of Halo: Campaign Evolved" digital artbook. A digital game manual inspired by the original 2001 release is also included.
The Collector's Edition is priced at $199.99 and includes all the content from the Premium Edition. Additionally, it features a 12-inch Dark Horse Master Chief statue, a light-up LED Cortana chip, a Steelbook case, three original concept art prints, and a physical version of the reimagined game manual. For console players, this edition includes a game disc for either Xbox Series X or PlayStation 5. The Steam version of the Collector's Edition will include a code instead of a disc.
Preorder Bonuses
Customers who preordered any edition of Halo: Campaign Evolved received the Foundry Armory Pack. This bonus content includes the Classic 2001 Mark V Armor skin, the Classic 2001 Assault Rifle skin, the Gilded Onyx Armor style, and the Gilded Onyx Assault Rifle style.
Operation: METEORITE
Included with every edition of Halo: Campaign Evolved is "Operation: METEORITE," a new three-mission story arc. This new content takes place one year prior to the events of the first Halo game and features Master Chief and Sergeant Johnson. The operation sends players behind enemy lines on a clandestine UNSC mission aboard a Covenant research vessel. This expansion was revealed during the recent Xbox Games Showcase.
