He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction Gets February 2027 Release Date

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction has received an official release date of February 4, 2027. The old-school brawler, developed by Bitmap Bureau in collaboration with Mattel and Clear River Games, will be available both digitally and physically for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S.

Two physical editions are being published by Limited Run Games. The standard physical release is priced at $29.99 USD, while a Collector's Edition will retail for $99.99 USD. International pricing includes €110.95, £90.00, and $CAD 140.99.

The game draws inspiration from the 1980s animated series, featuring pixel art and 2D gameplay. Players can step into the roles of He-Man, She-Ra, Man-At-Arms, and Teela. The experience supports both solo play and two-player local co-op.

Dragon Pearl of Destruction boasts 13 stages set in various iconic locations such as the Royal Palace, the Vine Jungle, and Snake Mountain. Players will face off against familiar villains including Skeletor, Evil-Lyn, Beast Man, and Trap Jaw, as well as encounter the dark sorceress Shokoti and her Shadow Beasts.

The Collector's Edition includes a variety of exclusive items. These include lunchbox-style packaging designed by CultureFly, pin badges featuring in-game sprites, a replica He-Man Power Sword with a stand, an acrylic standee of He-Man riding Battle Cat, and a mini 12-page comic book from Dark Horse Comics. Both physical editions come with a game disc or cartridge, a booklet, and a slipcover with artwork by Freddie Williams II, though the Collector's Edition also features a SteelCase.

Earlier previews of the game suggested it had the potential to be the first truly good He-Man video game. This release follows the animated series Masters of the Universe: Revolution on Netflix.
