Sony has opened preorders for a range of limited-edition PlayStation 5 hardware inspired by Insomniac Games' Marvel's Wolverine, which is set to release on September 15.
The collection includes a PS5 Digital Edition bundle, custom console covers for both standard and Pro models, and a unique DualSense Wireless Controller. These items feature designs in either a "Battle Yellow" or "Adamantium" white color scheme, reflecting Wolverine's iconic look and powers.
The "Battle Yellow" DualSense controller boasts a bold design with three jagged yellow claw slashes across the touchpad and left grip, complemented by gray weathering. The analog sticks, lower portion of the controller, face button shapes, and D-pad directions are all rendered in yellow. This controller is available separately and is also included in the PS5 Digital Edition bundle.
For those looking to upgrade their console, the PS5 Digital Edition bundle features the Wolverine-themed console itself, along with the aforementioned "Battle Yellow" controller and a digital code for Marvel's Wolverine. The console is adorned with an etching of Wolverine's face and a triple slash design, all in the game's signature yellow and black.
Additionally, separate console covers are available for both the standard PS5 Slim and the PS5 Pro. The "Battle Yellow" covers allow existing PS5 owners to customize their consoles. For the PS5 Pro, both "Battle Yellow" and "Adamantium" white cover sets are offered. The "Adamantium" white variants are inspired by Wolverine's metallic skeleton and offer a more subdued aesthetic compared to the vibrant yellow options. These "Adamantium" editions and the PS5 Pro covers are exclusive to PlayStation Direct.
Supplies for these limited-edition items are reportedly selling out quickly, and players are advised to secure their preorders promptly if they wish to acquire the merchandise. Availability at retailers beyond PlayStation Direct is currently limited, though updates are expected.
