Metro 2039: Editions and Preorder Bonuses Detailed

Metro 2039 is slated for release on February 4 for PlayStation 5, Xbox, and PC. This single-player, first-person shooter continues the narrative in the post-apocalyptic Moscow established in its predecessors.

The Standard Edition includes the base game. Preordering any version of Metro 2039 will grant players the Specialist Pack, which features blueprints for three backpack upgrades: the Equipment Specialist Pouch for faster crafting, the Chemtech Specialist Pouch for enhanced survival gear, and the Munitions Specialist Pouch for discovering rarer ammunition.

The Deluxe Edition is available in both physical and digital formats. The physical Deluxe Edition for PS5 and Xbox costs $109.99 and includes the base game, the preorder bonus, an exclusive Steelbook case, a hardcover art book, a digital art book, the story expansion DLC, and the digital soundtrack. Digital versions for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S are priced at $99.99, while PC versions on Steam and Epic Games Store are $89.99. These digital editions include the base game, preorder bonus, story expansion DLC, digital soundtrack, and digital art book.

A Collector's Edition, exclusive to GameStop, is available for PS5 and Xbox at $299.99. This edition bundles the base game, the preorder bonus, a wearable replica Spartan helmet, an exclusive Steelbook case, a hardcover art book, a digital art book, the story expansion DLC, and the digital soundtrack.

Metro 2039 is set in the year 2039, a quarter-century after a nuclear apocalypse has devastated Moscow. Survivors have largely resided in the metro tunnels, united under a leader named Hunter. Players will take on the role of a recluse known as the Stranger, embarking on a mission into the irradiated metro tunnels, facing monster combat, rival survivors, and stealth gameplay.
