The highly anticipated version 1.0 update for Palworld, marking its transition out of Early Access, is scheduled to go live on Friday, July 10th. Developer Pocketpair has now provided specific release times for the global rollout.
The update is planned to launch at approximately 12:30 PM Japan Standard Time, according to an announcement from the official Palworld X account. This translates to various times across different regions:
- 9th July at 8:30 PM PT
- 9th July at 11:30 PM ET
- 10th July at 4:30 AM BST
- 10th July at 5:30 AM CEST
- 10th July at 1:30 PM AEST
Regarding save files, players will have the option to continue their existing progress. Pocketpair stated that they respect the time players have invested. However, the developer strongly recommends starting a new character to fully experience the significant changes introduced in the 1.0 patch. These changes include overhauled raid mechanics, new base building components and shapes, a revamped story, additional explorable locations, an updated Wildlife Sanctuary system with unique ecosystems, and reworked Tower Bosses.
Palworld, a survival and creature-collecting game, gained significant attention following its Early Access launch. At the time, its creature designs drew accusations of similarity to Pokémon, leading to a lawsuit from Nintendo. This legal action prompted Pocketpair to remove the game's Pokeball-like summoning mechanic in a subsequent update. The legal proceedings are ongoing.
