Stupid Never Dies, an upcoming pop-punk action RPG developed by a team comprising former Capcom veterans, is set to launch on October 21. The game, first revealed in December during The Game Awards 2025, follows the story of Davy, a timid zombie aiming to revive his love, Julia, by defeating the King of Monsters.
Davy must navigate monster-filled dungeons in a roguelike, run-based format. While initially weak, Davy can acquire the powers of defeated enemies by consuming their cores, allowing him to mimic various supernatural creatures such as vampires, werewolves, and harpies. Additionally, players can customize Davy's abilities by equipping Overtech gear, which can replace body parts to enhance stats and unlock new skills, facilitating diverse build strategies.
The game's progression system is designed to accelerate player growth, with Davy earning increased experience points during each run. This mechanic aims to allow Davy to level up and become stronger more rapidly with each subsequent dungeon attempt.
Stupid Never Dies is developed by GPTRACK50, a studio featuring veterans who have worked on series like Devil May Cry, Resident Evil, and Dragon's Dogma. The action RPG will be available on PlayStation 5 and PC.
