Spider-Man: Brand New Day is now available to rent or purchase digitally from VOD platforms like Prime Video. This release comes nearly 70 days after the film premiered in theaters, marking one of the longest theatrical windows of 2026.
The extended run in cinemas proved lucrative, as the film achieved a record-breaking opening weekend and ultimately grossed over $2.5 billion worldwide. Domestically, Spider-Man: Brand New Day earned $951 million, making it the highest-grossing movie in U.S. history. Globally, its box office performance trails only Avatar and Avengers: Endgame.
The film continues the story of Tom Holland's Peter Parker within the MCU's Phase 6, picking up after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home. It features the return of Peter's friends MJ, portrayed by Zendaya, and Ned, played by Jacob Batalon, who have since graduated high school. The sequel also introduces new cast members, notably Sadie Sink, whose role was kept under wraps by Marvel prior to the film's release.
Early reviews have highlighted the film's more focused narrative. IGN's review described Brand New Day as a "refreshingly small-scale ride" that refocuses on the core elements of the webslinger's iconography: balancing personal life with heroic duties and maintaining a heroic image.
While Tom Holland's inclusion in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday has not been confirmed, reports suggest an Avengers-style re-release of Brand New Day with additional footage is planned. Furthermore, Spider-Man 5 is officially in development, though a release date remains unannounced amidst Marvel's packed schedule. Fans can also anticipate Sadie Sink's return in a new X-Men reboot slated for 2028.
Beyond digital availability, Spider-Man: Brand New Day is also set to receive a 4K Blu-ray release, including a steelbook edition. Preorders for the various DVD formats are available now, with a release date of December 15, positioning it as a potential holiday purchase. Amazon is currently offering numerous physical media deals as part of its Prime Big Deal Day sale.
