Star Wars: Galactic Racer is now available for Prime members to stream for free through Amazon Luna. The new title, developed by Fuse Games, features roguelike gameplay mechanics within a high-stakes underground racing circuit set during the New Republic era.
Jeff Gattis, Head of Gaming at Amazon, stated in a blog post that the availability of Galactic Racer on Luna allows players to jump directly into the single-player campaign without needing to own a console or endure long download times. This aligns with Amazon's goal of providing immediate access to games for Luna subscribers.
Amazon Luna is a cloud gaming service accessible to Prime members, offering a rotating selection of games each month. Additionally, members can claim PC games redeemable through storefronts like the Epic Games Store and GOG. Previously, this included several Doom titles from Id Software.
Star Wars: Galactic Racer has garnered positive reception, holding a Metascore of 88 on Metacritic. GameSpot's review highlighted the game's fast-paced action and the tension in player decisions, describing it as a rewarding experience where each run offers opportunities for learning and adaptation.
