Something We Made has announced Toem 2, the sequel to its celebrated photography puzzler. The game is set to launch on September 29, 2026, for Nintendo Switch, PC, and PlayStation 5.
Details about the new adventure are currently scarce, but it appears players will once again step into the shoes of Toem's photographer protagonist. The core gameplay loop will revolve around uncovering hidden details, assisting characters, and documenting the world's small wonders, all accompanied by a relaxing soundtrack. A brief teaser trailer offers a glimpse of the upcoming title.
Visually, Toem 2 features an updated art style. While retaining the original's distinctive black-and-white aesthetic, the sequel embraces more detailed 3D models. The original Toem, released in 2022, was praised for its unique approach to puzzle-solving and exploration. Eurogamer's review at the time described the game as "an absolute dream," highlighting its charming premise of using a camera to solve environmental puzzles and earn stamps that unlock progression.
The first Toem garnered critical acclaim, including winning the Best Debut award at the 18th British Academy Games Awards.
