Creative Assembly has announced that Total War: Warhammer 3's "Lords of the End Times" downloadable content, described as the biggest in the series' decade-long history, will launch on September 24. This expansion will add four new Legendary Lords, each offering a distinct strategic gameplay experience inspired by Warhammer lore.
The new Legendary Lords include Nagash, Supreme Lord of the Undead; Boris Todbringer, Elector Count of Middenland; The Glottkin, who spread Nurgle's influence; and Thanquol, known for his cunning schemes. The DLC also introduces numerous new units, such as the Khemric Titan, Verminlords, Putrid Blight Kings, and the Celestial Hurricanum.
In a significant first for the series, any purchase of the "Lords of the End Times" DLC will provide standalone access to the Immortal Empires campaign, meaning players will not need to own any previous Total War: Warhammer titles to play it. The release will coincide with a major free update.
This free update will feature the Vampire Queen Neferata as a Legendary Lord, alongside a comprehensive rework of the Vampire Counts faction and Archaon the Everchosen. Additionally, the update introduces new End Game Scenarios and updated Victory Conditions for all legacy Legendary Lords. The "Lords of the End Times" content package will also include eight Legendary Heroes, five additional Lords & Heroes, and 23 battle units, along with 12 Regiments of Renown.
