Auroch Digital, in collaboration with Poncle, the studio behind the acclaimed Vampire Survivors, is set to release Warhammer Survivors on November 10. The game is described as a "Warhammer meets Vampire Survivors" experience, promising to blend the addictive roguelike "bullet heaven" mechanics of Vampire Survivors with the extensive lore of the Warhammer universes.
Warhammer Survivors aims to capture the essence of its predecessor, which achieved over 200,000 positive reviews on Steam and a Metacritic score of 86. Polygon writer Justin McElroy lauded Vampire Survivors in a 2022 review, calling it "a deliciously perfect pairing that seems all but self-evident once you’ve tried it."
The new title will feature over 40 playable characters drawn from the Warhammer 40K and Age of Sigmar settings, each boasting unique abilities and statistics. Players will have access to more than 75 different weapons, including iconic armaments like the Boltgun and Astartes chainswords. A notable inclusion is Nuln Oil, a weapon that damages and weakens enemies, inspired by the shading paints used by Warhammer miniature hobbyists.
Following the accessible approach of Vampire Survivors, Warhammer Survivors is set to launch with a low price point. It is available for preorder on Steam for $7.99, with a free demo also accessible. The game will be released across multiple platforms, including Android, iOS, Nintendo Switch & Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. Actual pricing may vary by region and platform, with potential discounts for preorders or launch day purchases.
