In a move that tightens anticipation ahead of its February 5 launch, Square Enix released the opening cinematic for Dragon Quest VII Reimagined, a modern remake of the 2000 RPG. A free demo will go live on Wednesday, January 7 across PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch 2, Switch, and Steam, giving players a first hands-on impression of the updated visuals and soundtrack.
Demo progress can be carried over to the full game at launch, and that saved data will unlock the Day Off Dress outfit for Maribel.
