IO Interactive has revealed the PC specifications for 007: First Light after the game's delay to May 2026. The studio says it worked in close collaboration with Nvidia and will ship DLSS 4 with multi-frame generation, which it says enhances immersion and performance. The PC requirements target a baseline 1080p/30fps experience, with a recommended target of 1080p/60fps, and notably do not require an SSD.
Minimum requirements include Intel Core i5-9500K or AMD Ryzen 5 3500, Nvidia GTX 1660 or AMD RX 5700, 16 GB of RAM, 8 GB of VRAM, 80 GB of storage, Windows 10/11 64-bit, 1080p at 30fps. The recommended specs move to Intel Core i5-13500 or Ryzen 5 7600, Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti or RX 6700 XT, 32 GB of RAM, 12 GB of VRAM, 80 GB storage, Windows 10/11 64-bit, 1080p at 60fps. IO Interactive CTO Ulas Karademir said working with Nvidia allowed the studio to "deliver a PC experience that matches the level of quality we believe the Bond franchise deserves."
Beyond PC, 007: First Light is in development for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch 2, and is set to launch on May 27, 2026, one day after GTA 6's original launch window before that title was delayed to November 2026. In the broader Bond universe, a 26th film is in the works with Oscar-nominated filmmaker Denis Villeneuve directing and Stephen Knight writing; no casting has been announced, though Callum Turner is reported as the frontrunner.
The game is described as a third-person action-adventure that follows a 26-year-old Bond who joins MI6 to become a spy, with players traveling around the world to face foes and drive fast cars. There is no word yet on what a higher-end PC experience could require.
IO's approach underscores a focus on PC fidelity through Nvidia technology, while platform plans remain broad across current and next-gen systems.
